CHIMES OF FREEDOM CD
Honoring 50 years of Amnesty International Bob Dylan's songs recorded by Paul Rodgers, Maroon 5, Jeff Beck, Adele, Sting, and many more!
Chimes of Freedom features a stellar and diverse group of artists across the generational and musical spectrum. The performers, including many of Amnesty International's longtime supporters, range in age from Miley Cyrus 19, to folk music legend Pete Seeger, who, at 92, records Dylan's poignant "Forever Young," with a children's chorus. Other musical guests include Paul Rodgers, Nils Lofgren, Sting, Adele, Seal, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Carly Simon, Joan Baez, Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz and many many more appear in this 4 CD set.
The diversity of the musicians and musical genres -- from rock, rap, hip-hop to pop, folk, country, jazz and blues -- attests to Amnesty's depth of support in the music community, the universal appeal of the core message of human rights, and the breadth of Dylan's impact on culture. Almost every track on the album is being released for sale for the first time* -- except for the title song, Dylan's original 1964 recording of "Chimes of Freedom."
Rodgers guests on Joe Bonamassa DVD, recorded at the legendary Beacon Theatre in New York.
Paul and Joe perform "Walk in My Shadow" the first song Rodgers ever wrote when he was 17 and "Fire and Water". Both of these songs Paul originally recorded with Free.
Also guesting on the DVD, John Hiatt and Beth Hart.

NEW SONG HITS #2
New Song "With Our Love" reaches #2 on the Top Songs Chart at CD Baby.
The songs' writers, Rodgers & Margouleff, are giving all of the proceeds to charity.
PAUL RODGERS CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH RELEASE
OF NEW SONG "WITH OUR LOVE"
One Hundred Percent of The Proceeds Will Be Directed To The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rocking Horse Children's Charity and Seraphim 12 Foundation
Paul Rodgers has released a new studio recording that is available exclusively on-line via CD Baby, and all other digital retailers. The song "With Our Love" has been shared with fans and the public on his 62nd birthday, with one hundred percent of the proceeds earmarked for the charities The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rocking Horse Children's Charity and Seraphim 12 Foundation. The composition was co-written and performed by Perry Margouleff, whose friendship with Rodgers dates back to over twenty years ago when they met in the U.K. while Margouleff was performing with The Pretty Things. They have collaborated over the years.
All of these charities are organizations Rodgers has offered significant support to in the past, in fact he is a Patron of one while Perry Margouleff is a Senior Board Member of the other. Rodgers shared, "Horses are such a powerful part of human development and have been since the early ages. We humans owe them so much. My wife Cynthia and I have visited both sanctuaries and can't imagine any of these healthy vibrant beings being sent off to die. Especially Seraphim 12's 'Daisy,' who was to be slaughtered for human consumption at four months of age! Or ex-racehorse 'Mr. Streaky,' who due to human error developed anxiety and fear issues which now after eight years he is finally starting to overcome, and in doing so is helping the autistic and inner city kids who visit the sanctuary. Blues great Willie Dixon believed that 'Once we know better we can do better'...so now that we know better, let's do better."

RODGERS AND ROCK TO RACEHORSE RESCUE
Deborah Bonham admitted she really couldn't quite believe it when she introduced him. Even now, it doesn't quite ring true.
But yes, it really did happen. Paul Rodgers, the man who gave us Free and Bad Company, played Chichester on Saturday night. And - no surprise in this - he brought the house down.
With all the skills of his years in the business, Rodgers delivered a stunning set which underlined exactly why he's arguably the greatest rock and blues singer we've ever produced.
Others come close, but while others of his vintage have faded just a touch, Rodgers has continued to grow. And on Saturday night, he once again married consummate artistry with the joy of performance to produce a session which will be remembered for years to come.
Classics including Walk In My Shadow, Ride On A Pony, Fire And Water and My Brother Jake were among the delights in a Free-heavy set. Wishing Well was sublime, and All Right Now was one of those spine-tingling moments which suggest that no other live entertainment can ever truly come close music at its very best.
Just impressive was the fact that backing him was the Deborah Bonham Band who'd earlier backed Deborah through her own superb set - just one of the many elements in a four-hour slice of musical heaven in aid of Deborah's beloved racehorse sanctuary (of which Paul and his wife Cynthia are partrons) (http://www.racehorsesanctuary.org/). The band Room 4 that opened the show are part of the charities Rocking Horse Children's program, that works with young musicians, inner city kids and autistic children.
Opening the night was Chichester Music Academy youngsters Room 4 with an assured version of Teenage Kicks - a great performance given that none of them are teenagers yet.
Closing the night were terrific, contrasting sets from Paul Rodgers's daughter Jasmine and son Steve. In between times, auction and raffle contributed generously to the cause.
Everyone played their part, but all would concede that it was Rodgers who took it to the highest level. And what bliss it was to catch him up close and personal in a setting far more intimate than he'd usually play.
Those of us privileged enough to have been at The Venue on Saturday will grow increasingly smug with passing time. We were there, and that's all that mattered. It's All Right Now and for a very long time to come.
"The atmosphere was absolutley electric from start to finish. I'm still feeling the buzz. A huge thanks to the fans, Deborah Bonham and band, Room 4, Steve and Jasmine Rodgers and the racehorses at the sanctuary and rocking horse children's charity thank you too. Let's do it again!" - Paul Rodgers

BAD CO LIVE AT WEMBLEY NOW AVAILABLE IN STORES AND ONLINE
Available now! "Bad Company Live At Wembley" on DVD, Blu-Ray and CD
When legendary classic rockers Bad Company performed at the historic British venue Wembley Arena in London on a beautiful April 2010 spring night, high-definition cameras captured the whole evening in all its glory.
There was magic in the air as all three original Bad Company members - vocalist extraordinaire Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke - are augmented by bassist Lynn Sorensen and guitarist Howard Leese. (Original bassist Boz Burrell died in 2006.)
The set list is packed with every major hit, fan favorites and seldom-heard deep album cuts. The DVD and Blu-Ray includes a band interview.
Bad Company burst upon the rock'n'roll scene in 1973, and was immediately dubbed a super-group by fans and press alike, as its members all came from very successful popular bands: Free (Rodgers and Kirke), Mott The Hoople (Ralphs) and King Crimson (Burrell). They lived up to the hype for nine straight years with a string of six soulful hard-rocking albums. After a break they reformed in 1999.

BB King, Paul Rodgers & more on new Paul McCartney tribute album
It's fair to say Paul McCartney has had a few tributes in his time, and there's news that another one is on the way.
The Sun reports McCartney is making a new album featuring covers of his own solo material and Wings tracks.
McCartney hand-picked the artists himself, including KISS, The Cure, B.B. King, Paul Rodgers, Billy Joel and Garth Brooks.
It's partly a family affair, as Paul's son, James, will be on the record doing a song with The Cure.
"James was over the moon at playing with The Cure," a source told The Sun. "He's always been a big fan. They all went into a studio in Sussex and hung out together."
Sir Paul is thrilled about it. "Over the years, Robert Smith and Macca's paths have crossed countless times and he is chuffed having The Cure pay tribute to him," stated the source.
A full song/artist list has not been announced, but we know KISS have already recorded their version of "Venus And Mars/Rock Show" for the set, as KISS told fans via Facebook last August:
"After being invited, we chose and sang Venus and Mars/Rockshow for the McCartney tribute album. Other performers include Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, BB King and Paul Rodgers. The backing tracks were all recorded by Paul McCartney's touring band. We consider it an honor to be asked to participate on a tribute to one of the most influential and greatest singer/songwriters of all time. Not to mention, a major force in the most important band of all time, The Beatles. Wow!"

LED ZEPPELIN - JOHN BONHAM'S MOTHER HAS PASSED
Sad news from the Led Zeppelin camp today.
Joan Bonham, mother to John, Mick and Deborah Bonham, died early morning today (February 09, 2011) at the age of 81, after battling an illness since Christmas.
She was preceeded in death by her husband John Henry Sr. (Jack) in 1998, son John Henry Jr. in 1980 and Michael (Mick) Bonham in 2000.
Achilles Last Stand – The Led Zeppelin website reports Joan was a musician just like her children, John and Deborah; Joan was a singer, most notably one of the principal lead vocalists of The Zimmers, a 40-piece British band originally created by BBC television for a 2007 feature documentary on the conditions and feelings of the elderly, as part of the Power to the People series.

GARY MOORE 1952 - 2011
"Gary was a friend and a truly great man.I respect that he played the game his way...no time for BS. He was focused and passionate about music and was one of the best. The last time that I jammed with Gary he came on as my Special Guest at London's Royal Albert Hall and proceeded to take it to another level ...the place imploded! When he played he was a man on fire.If there hadn't been an ocean between us and Gary didn't mind flying we absolutely would have created more together. We've lost a great British blues man and I am very, very sad." PAUL RODGERS

FOUR MILLION AIRS AWARD
“ALL RIGHT NOW” SURPASSES FOUR MILLION AIRPLAYS IN THE U.S.
Los Angeles, CA – November XX, 2010 – BMI just presented Paul Rodgers, singer songwriter and founding member of Free with a new “Million Air” award to acknowledge four million performances of Free’s hit song "All Right Now." Million Air awards are presented to songwriters in recognition of songs that receive two million or more U.S. radio and television performances. A radio staple for 40 years, the song has also surpassed a massive 2,000,000 radio plays in the UK (as of 2000). “All Right Now” appeared on the band’s “Fire and Water” album in mid-1970. The single was an international #1 hit in over 20 territories and landed at #2 on the UK charts and #4 on Billboard Hot 100.
“When I started writing ‘All Right Now’ the lyrics and the melody flowed easily. It felt special and it’s still special to me and the fans. It’s a ‘must play’ in my solo set,” said Paul Rodgers.
Recently, “All Right Now” topped the UK’s Planet Rock radio fan poll as the “Greatest Rock Single,” in “one of the most decisive polls” they’ve ever run beating out 39 international chart-topping hit songs from artists such as Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, AC/DC, The Eagles, Queen and Guns and Roses. Previous Planet Rock polls placed “All Right Now” on the “Best Summer Rock Song,” “Greatest Rock Riff of All Time” and “Ultimate Driving Songs” charts.
After a five-year skyrocketing run of success, Free would disband in 1973 and Paul Rodgers would go on to form and front another legendary rock band, Bad Company. Earlier this year, “The Very Best of Free and Bad Company featuring Paul Rodgers” greatest hits collection, featuring Rodgers’ greatest works during the legendary ’68-’73 era of Free and ’73-’82 era of Bad Company, became Bad Company's first top 10 chart appearance since 1979, Free's first since 1991 and was Rodgers’ return to the charts following his 2007 certified Gold debut solo DVD “Live in Glasgow” which charted at #1 in Canada, #2 in Japan, #3 in the US and #4 in the UK.
Following a U.S. summer tour run, Paul Rodgers and Bad Company recently wrapped their first concert tour of Japan in over 30 years culminating with 3 nights in Tokyo.

THE GREATEST ROCK SINGLES UK TOP 40 "ALL RIGHT NOW" #1
THE GREATEST ROCK SINGLES: TOP 40 - THE PLANET ROCK VAULT UK
And the winner is...
ALL RIGHT NOW, the 1970 top 5 (it reached number 2) hit from Free."When I started writing "All Right Now" the lyrics and the melody flowed easily. It felt special and it is still special to me and the fans. It's a must play in my solo set" PAUL RODGERS
Easily their most commercial track, the single version was roughly 80 seconds shorter than the album version, and vastly different to the bluesy demo version that's floating around on various reissues. The song was given a new lease of life in 1991 when it was used on a particularly famous Wrigleys Chewing Gum advert, propelling the rereleased and remixed single back into the nation's conscience, and hitting number 8 in the singles charts. And there's absolutely no doubting the song's "single" credentials, as it's remained a radio staple for 40 years - passing 1,000,000 radio plays in the US by 1990, and passing a massive 2,000,000 radio plays in the UK in 2000.
The song that it narrowly beat to top the charts was SWEET CHILD 'O MINE, Guns N Roses' famously game-changing single which propelled the band into a new rock stratosphere, hitting number 1 in the US (their only US number 1 single) and number 6 in the UK charts. Depending on which format of the single you bought, you may have heard the band doing a pretty decent cover of 'Whole Lotta Rosie' on the B-Side.

PAUL RODGERS ANNOUNCES FUND-RAISING DRIVE TO BENEFIT “KIDS ROCK FREE®” MUSIC PROGRAM DRAWS TO BE HELD THROUGHOUT RODGERS’ 2010 CONCERT DATES FEATURING RARE STAGE ITEMS, AUTOGRAPHED MEMORABILIA & COLLECTIBLES BONUS MONTHLY DRAWS AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT PAULRODGERS.COM
Los Angeles, CA – July 7, 2010 – Legendary rock icon Paul Rodgers has announced that during his concert tours this year, both Solo and Bad Company, he will be donating rare personal stage items, autographed memorabilia and collectables for a nightly draw. All of the proceeds will be given to the Fender Centers ‘Kids Rock Free’ national music education initiative in efforts to raise money and awareness. Plus Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia, will match all monies raised.
“Without music in schools curriculum there is a void for young people to express, explore and experience music. We are on a mission to set up this music program across the U.S. If not for music in my life as a young person who knows where I would have focused my energy,” said Rodgers.
The Kids Rock Free campaign provides free and low-cost music lessons to students age 7-17 and has serviced over 12,000 kids. Rodgers has dedicated himself to the program since 2003, donating his time, talent and finances. In an effort to expand the program nationwide and to help kids across the United States experience music at a very low cost or for free, the push is on to raise additional funding to make that experience a reality.
Those who wish to participate may simply visit the merchandise booth during any concert date and purchase a $5 fundraising ticket. Two random drawings will be held each night, and the winner(s) will take home one (or two) items. Monthly drawings are also being held online on Rodgers’ website, PaulRodgers.com. Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia, will match all donations made during the fund-raising drive.
Additionally, supporters of Kids Rock Free “text-to-donate” can make a $10 donation directly from their mobile phones by texting “ROCK” to 50555. A one-time $10 donation will be added to mobile bills; messaging and data rates may apply. Terms, help and other details can be found online at www.mgive.com/a.
Rodgers, celebrating over four decades as a writing and charting recording artist (Free, Bad Company, The Firm, Queen + Paul Rodgers, Solo), was recently presented with the “Classic Songwriter” award by Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck at the annual Classic Rock Magazine Roll of Honour 2009. Rolling Stone recently named Rodgers one of the “Top 100 Singers of All Time,” Classic Rock UK placed him at #2 on their “50 Greatest Singers in Rock” list. His debut solo DVD “Live in Glasgow” is certified Gold and charted at #1 in Canada, #2 in Japan, #3 in the US and #4 in the UK . Recently released in the U.K. “The Best of Free and Bad Company, featuring Paul Rodgers” hit the charts in the top 10 and is also certified gold.

Run by the Fender Museum of Music and the Arts Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 corporation, the board is made up of civic leaders, elected officials, and business leaders from the Riverside County and Orange Country regions. The main focus of the Center is to provide music education to children at a no or low cost. Music education has been drastically reduced due to money constraints in the public education system. The Fender Center endeavors to bridge that gap by providing an innovative and caring environment for children to explore the world of music performance. Numerous studies have shown that children, who incorporate music into their education, perform better in math and science by a staggering 30 percent. Additionally, children attain a higher degree of personal confidence and a greater sense of accomplish compared to non-music students.
The Fender Center conducts events throughout the year to bring musical experiences to the general public and raise funds to continue the important work of music education. Contained within the Center, the FM Studio, professionally equipped and staffed, records the kids’ performances. FM Studio is available for commercial use and audio recording.
