SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 14, 2014 – Paul Rodgers, longtime singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with Bad Company, is #1 Most Added at AC Radio this week with the single, “I Can’t Stand The Rain,” taken from the upcoming release February 4th of “The Royal Sessions”-a lovingly crafted collection of classic R&B and soul songs re-imagined by the iconic rock singer recorded at Memphis’ Royal Studios, historic home of Willie Mitchelland Hi Records, with many of the musicians who played on the original tracks.

Truly a lifetime in the making, Rodgers has come full circle with “The Royal Sessions” as he pays homage to the legendary hits he collected on 45s released on Stax/Volt, Goldwax and Hi Records-recordings by Otis Redding, Albert King and Ann Peebles which made such an indelible impression on the young Rodgers inspiring him to pursue a career as a singer.  The album is also doing well at classic rock and blues radio formats. Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke Discuss Reunion, Tour And 40 Years Of Rock’n’Roll Fantasies

Dallas, TX – JUNE 27, 2013.

North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands gives you a front row ticket to Bad Company’s 40th anniversary festivities. Formed in 1973 from the members of British bands Free and Mott the Hoople, Bad Company were a supergroup in the making and the first signing to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song label. In an industry where anticipation and expectations can often derail bands from the start, Bad Company would rise to the occasion, delivering hit albums and producing one of the most memorable catalogs of ‘70s rock. Hits like “Can’t Get Enough”, “Movin’ On”, “Feel Like Making Love”, “Rock’n’Roll Fantasy”,  “Ready for Love”, “Shooting Star”,”Silver Blue and Gold” would fast become staples on the radio and in the concert halls. InTheStudio host Redbeard sat down with Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke during rehearsals for this Summer’s 40th anniversary tour to discuss the band’s legacy. During the interview, Paul Rodgers reveals what music inspired the members of Bad Company.

”The records we listened to, when we were getting turned on to music, were actually 40 years old, you know, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and Albert King and all these guys. We were listening to quite old music, but to us it was eternal music. I can still listen to it now. I think we took something from that. And that’s probably part of what we do.”

Mick Ralphs explains what touring with Bad Company over forty years means to him.

“It’s good. It keeps you on your toes, nothing set in stone. We have a great collection of songs, fortunately for us, that people want to hear.”

Catch this special two part- two week InTheStudio program and be sure to see Bad Company this Summer with co-headliner Lynyrd Skynyrd as both bands celebrate their 40th anniversaries.

Paul Rodgers and Deborah Bonham’s Annual Charity Concert is in its third year.

2013’s concert has raised an all-time high of £54,000 that will be distributed to Willows Animal Sanctuary and Assisted Therapy Unit in Aberdeen, Scotland, Mount Noddy Animal Centre & The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre both near Chichester, England.

“Once again the evening was a huge success. Our fans and friends come through every time it’s quite amazing. Now Willows can breathe a sigh of relief, as this funding will see them through July. Thanks to everyone from the fans, musicians, volunteers to all of the musicians and artists who donated items.”

On Saturday 30th March, Paul Rodgers and Deborah Bonham and her band along with special guests returned to The Venue in Chichester to raise the roof one more time for animal charities. The main charity Willows Animal Sanctuary and Assisted Therapy Unit in Aberdeen, Scotland takes in a massive number and variety of welfare cases from cats to pigs to horses. Currently they are home to 300 animals. Paul Rodgers and his wife Cynthia are Patrons of Willows.

Deborah Bonham and her husband guitarist Pete Bullick have adopted both of her dogs from Mount Noddy which specialize in dogs and cats. Cynthia Kereluk Rodgers and Deborah visited the Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre near Chichester and were impressed with the care and handling of their two hundred cats! So a donation will be made to them as well. Rock memorabilia were the hot items in the live auction with two Autographed Led Zeppelin Posters bringing in £500 and £850.The highest grossing auction item was a Bad Company Autographed Guitar including tickets to a concert this summer, in the US, bringing in £1100. The biggest surprise of the evening was when Elaine and Chris Fairfax from Animal Friends Insurance handed over cheques to the tune of £15,000 to be divided equally between the three charities. Deborah Bonham performed some songs from her new CD Spirit (limited edition pre release CD Digipak out now and available on tour ahead of the September CD, Vinyl and Digital release) during her 1 hour set. To the fans delight Rodgers played a 90 minute set of songs from just his Free catalogue, some songs he had not performed in 40 years!

“We are absolutely over the moon to have such wonderful, lovely talented people supporting Willows Animal Sanctuary and Assisted Therapy Unit! It means so much to have dedicated Patrons, Paul Rodgers and Cynthia Kereluk Rodgers are such kind hearted and beautiful individuals and care so much about animal welfare. Our thanks go to all that helped with the fantastic concert, we know it took a lot of organising and many dedicated volunteers. Deborah Bonham and Peter Bullick are also amazing, thank you both so much for all the time and energy you have put in to this concert. Everyone at Willows thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts”.
